I've already written enough about the UFL on this blog (twice, if I'm not mistaken), so I'll keep this one short and sweet. But I wanted to give props to Brooks Bollinger, who was recently
named the league's first Most Valuable Player. Bollinger was the quarterback of the Florida Tuskers, a team that went undefeated in the regular season only to fall in overtime to Las Vegas in the Championship Game. Still, Brooks achievements were noted, and it's a somewhat impressive honor for the former Badgers quarterback.
Now, the question is whether or not he can parlay this into a semi-successful gig in the NFL, as XFL MVP Tommy Maddox once did with the Steelers. I'm going to say no, but at the very least Brooks should be able to find a backup gig with an NFL team before the postseason begins. It's a nice award for Bollinger, and here's hoping he can stick with the big boys in the NFL and not have to give it another go in the baby blue and teal green league that is the UFL next season.
