Bucks Have More Heart Than Bulls

Not seen in this photo is Kirk Hinrich, who I forever will not be a fan of. Reason why: he screwed me out of 250 bucks when he choked in the NCAA finals against Melo. Well, he pissed me off again as this fight all started when Hinrich felt that Warrick pushed him well after the play. After a brief scuffle, everyone felt the need to get into it. They talked on the broadcast about how this game had a playoff feel and looking at this picture I can say they were right. The Bucks got off to a hot start, and after the first quarter this game looked like it was going to be all Bucks all night.

The game started back and fourth, before the Bucks decided to pull away going on a 19-0 run to take the lead 29-12. But in true Bucks fashion, Milwaukee would let the Bulls back into the game. The Bulls ended the quarter with a 7-0 run of their own to pull within 10 after the first quarter. All five Bucks starters scored 26 of the 29 points in the first quarter.

The second and third quarters didn't go so well for the Bucks. They never got into a flow like they did in the first. The key to Friday nights game was Andrew Bogut, as everything went through him. When he wasn't in the game the Bucks looked a little lost on the court. Warrick and Ridnour came to play off the bench, but other than that the bench was sort of weak. Andrew finished the second quarter with 5 points to give the a 47-41 lead at halftime.

The third is when it seemed like the Bucks were going to give this one away. Milwaukee couldn't make a shot for the life of them. They went ice cold till a late shot by my new boy Ridnour might have turned this game around. From around half court Ridnour hit a three at the buzzer of the third quarter to tie the game at 64. This might have been the spark the Bucks needed.

The fourth was when things got heated. The key factor that pissed the Bulls off was Warrick and how he was working hard down low on both ends of the court. This might have led to the Bulls getting to their boiling point. As a Bucks fan Warrick was huge in the fourth, and if your a Bulls fan I would guess today that you're talked about how he's the player you hate most in the NBA. One reason to hate him is because Warrick had a put back dunk with 10 seconds left to give the Bucks the win. It took 32 points in the fourth for the Bucks to put away to the Bulls, and to give the Bucks two wins against the Bulls this year out of the three games they played. It's always big when you can beat teams in the Central.

Lets look at some highlights from this very intense 96-93 Bucks win.

* Andrew Bogut had a monster game finishing with 27 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 blocks. Awesome game for him as he earns the Bucks POTG award for the night. That also makes the Bucks 11-1 on the season when Bogut has 17 or more points in a game.

* Bulls seeing Redd? Redd at one point in time in the fourth quarter decided to score 11 straight Bucks points. He was a real boost when the Bucks needed him. He finished the game with 24 points and 8 rebounds.

* Hakim Warrick, why don't you play like this every night? He finished the game with 11 points, 7 rebounds (5 offensive), and 2 block shots. For how skinny the guy is he sure puts up a good fight some nights.

* The Bulls are one of the best rebounding teams in the NBA. So kudos to the Bucks for winning the rebounding battle 48-45.

* Derrick Rose is a great point guard. He proved that again Friday night in Milwaukee as he finished the game with 25 points, 9 assists, and 5 rebounds. That will earn him the Hunter of the Night award.

Overall it was a huge win for the Bucks before they head to the West Coast for a 6 game road trip. Always a nice to have a wins going into a tough road trip that if we get 3 wins would be awesome. Next up are the Lakers Sunday night in L.A. I don't know what to think about the Lakers right now they are just not playing well, but still are a good team. Lets hope we can catch them off guard and steal a victory. The game starts at 8:30 central time, and I hope at that time we are celebrating a Packers win.
