Jennings Selected for Rookie Game

Even if he is wearing a shirt with his name and the golden arch on it, he is not the newest sponsor of McDonald's. But he is the latest Buck to be selected to the Rookie Challenge Game for the All- Star Weekend in Dallas. I guess the news isn't as big as LeBron being named the new face for McDonald's, but in Wisconsin sports Jennings making the Rookie team should get some love.

Jennings joins an already guard-heavy rookie team which will include Tyreke Evans, Stephen Curry, and Johnny Flynn. They will be up against a tough sophomore team that is full of big men. Sometimes in games like these the pace can get out of control, so the teams with fast point guards are at an advantage.

Joining Jennings also on the team are Omri Casspi, Taj Gibson, James Harden, Jonas Jerekbo, and Dejuan Blair. Not a very name heavy team, but that is why they play the game I guess. This isn't familiar territory for Bucks players to play in this game. Jennings will be the fifth Buck to play in the rookie game. The others being Yi Jianlian, Andrew Bogut, Ray Allen, and Glenn Robinson. So it really is a honor for young Jennings to be mentioned with those guys. Maybe Young Money can help the rookie team end their seven game slide in this challenge.

In a game like this you just hope Brandon goes out and has fun, and doesn't get hurt. The numbers don't really mean anything in a game like this. But a guy like Jennings who played in the McDonald's All-Star game is used to how they are played. If I had to predict what is going to happen I could see Jennings with a lot of assists. His goal in the McDonald's American game was to break the assist record. I can't see his goal being any different when he takes the court Friday February 12, in Dallas.
