Mavs Get Lucky Again

The Bucks are now 0-2 against the Mavs this season. The worst part about them being 0-2 is they have lost by a combined 3 points. Getting beat is one thing, but it sucks that both games were so close yet the Bucks just couldn't pull either one of them out. The Bucks played hard all game, fought back to tie the game, but when they would tie it they would give up points and fall behind again. It was a game where they were essentially behind the whole game.

Then when the game felt like it was all but over, Carlos Delfino made an unbelievable three pointer from wayyyyyyy downtown. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, who was covering covered Dirk, then forced a huge turnover to give the Bucks a final chance to win the game. The Bucks got a good look when Delfino drove to the hole, but his running was a little strong and the Bucks dropped another game.

Sorry for the short recap but its a day late so who cares, right?. Lets check out some highlights from this heartbreaking 108-107 defeat.

* Andrew Bogut had another awesome night. He finished with a career high 32 points, 9 rebounds, and 13-14 from the field. The hook shot was on Tuesday night, and Bogut did work down low. A game like this will earn him the Bucks POTG award for Tuesday night.

* Carlos Delfino, as I said before, had a huge shot at the end. He also missed a big shot at the end, but he did have a huge game to keep the Bucks in the game. He finished with 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Good game for Delfino Tuesday. He was also 8-12 from the field and 4-5 from downtown. Never a bad thing when Carlos gets hot.

* The Bucks took more free throws, but only made two more than the Mavs did. The Mavs may have won this game at the line making 16 of 17.

* Both benches played a big role for their teams. The Bucks bench had 35 points. You would think that's a good total, but the Mavs were right there with us getting 34 points from the guys on their bench.

* Dirk had a nice game scoring 28 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Another day in the life of Dirk Nowitzki. That will earn him the Hunter of the Night award. A least he didn't hit a luck shot at the buzzer again.

Overall a tough game for the guys in green. Now, since I've posted this after the Bucks next game on the schedule has already concluded, let's wrap up this recap and head on to one about their game against the 76ers. Until that's posted, entertain yourself with the box score while I get in a quick game of NHL 10.

It's 4:03 and I can't sleep without you next to me...
