Same Time, Same Place

The NFL just announced the schedule for Wild Card weekend, and contrary to the rumors about the Packers playing on Saturday, it looks like they'll be playing on Sunday after all. The Packers/Cardinals rematch is slotted for 3:15pm, so it looks like these two teams will be doing the same dance they did this weekend only this time it will actually mean something.

In fact, there will be a lot of rematches next weekend, starting with the second edition of this stinkfest going on between the Bengals and the Jets, in which the Bengals are obviously throwing in the towel because they'd rather face the Jets than the Texans. That game will be on at 3:30pm on NBC next Saturday, followed by another Cowboys/Eagles tilt that will take place at 7:00pm.

On Sunday, it's a rematch of a week four matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the New England Patriots, and that will be broadcast at noon on CBS. Following that, it will be our beloved Packers taking on the Cardinals for the third time this season, kickoff at 3:40pm on Fox. That means we're going to get a healthy dose of Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, and Pam Oliver, but that's the price you pay for making the playoffs.

I'll have more thoughts and predictions about the playoffs in this week's Winks Thinks.
