Strong Week Vaults Badgers in Polls

When the Badgers started off their season with strong play in the Maui Invitational, I was feeling pretty confident about this team. When they beat Duke, I really starting getting in over my head with what they could do. Then, they lost to UW-Green Bay, I didn't know what to expect. In fact, I was almost a bit worried.

But after this week, it looks like the Badgers might actually be a pretty competitive team this season, one that could easily finish in the top three of the Big Ten. They started their conference season off right with wins over Ohio State and Penn State, dominating wins to be more exact. And now it looks as if they are once again getting credit nationally.

I never know which poll is more legit, and never poll ever seems to be even close to the same, but the Badgers are in the Top 20 now in both of them. In the Associated Press poll, the Badgers rank at #17, and in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll, the Badgers are #20. For that reason, let's call the Associated Press poll the more legitimate one, shall we?

In other news, Northwestern is predictably out of the rankings, so that's good.
