Magic Play Joke on Bucks

After two impressive wins against the Miami Heat, the Milwaukee Bucks got off to a great start in Orlando, and things looked good for the Bucks early. They got out to an early 20-8 lead, but that is when the Magic said enough is enough. Orlando finished the first quarter on a 15-6 run, and with that the Magic were only down three points after the first. After a 10-1 run to start the second quarter the Magic really never looked back.

Milwaukee just couldn't get anything going, as they shot just 36.3% for the game. Milwaukee only got to the line 19 times, but worse then that they only made nine of those shots. The Bucks did how ever make seven three pointers, a stat which usually helps them out, but when you do nothing else right then those don't really matter either.

Milwaukee just looked tired out on the court. Magic had eight blocked shots to the Bucks four. The fast break points were Magic 18, and the Bucks only had 6. All loose balls seemed to end up in an Orlando players' hand. The Bucks had 8 assists in the first quarter, but only finished the game with 17 total. If any team wins a game with those stats I would like to see it.

Not many highlights tonight, but I guess we can take a look a a few from this 99-82 beat down the Bucks took.

* Andrew Bogut only played 28 minutes because of the blowout, but he still was able to get a double double. He finished with 10 points, 1o rebounds, and 3 blocks. Bogut and Jennings were the only Bucks that finished the game with a positive in the plus/minus category. For his efforts in the loss Bogut will get the Bucks POTG for Tuesday night.

* Luke Ridnour and Charlie Bell didn't shoot bad Tuesday night. They finished a combined 10-21 from the field, 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists. Milwaukee doesn't rely on these guys, but when they throw in games like this it would be nice to get a win from it.

* All five Orlando starters scored in double figures. In the NBA, if you can get that much balance scoring you are going to win a lot of games. Tuesday night was one of those nights.

* Dwight Howard had a nice game against the Bucks Tuesday. He finished with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocks. His numbers haven't been as high as last year, but he still a dominating player that did work on the Bucks. For his effort he will earn the Hunter of the Night award for Tuesday night.

* Vince Carter, from UNC, got back on track Tuesday night. He had just an awful month in January, but Tuesday night he almost had a triple double. He finished the game with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists. Good game for him, and a good thing for the Magic who are a dangerous team when Carter is playing well.

The Bucks were no match for Magic Tuesday, and to be a match for a team like that they need to bring their A game. The Bucks couldn't get in a grove, and the Magic walked all over them. Milwaukee gets a few days off, before they have to face New York on the road Friday night. It depends what Knicks team shows up Friday. If the shooting lights out Knicks show up it could be a long night for the Bucks. I hope the ice cold Knicks show up so the Bucks get get an easy win.

After that they need to be rested for the Pacers game Saturday night. The Bucky Channel crew will be going to the game so we hope to see a win. Always a better night when the Bucks get a win. Either way, Potawatomi Casino will be getting hit up after the game. For the rest of the box scores from Tuesday's game click the link below.
