Marquette was the most bubbly of the bubble teams for about every week since 2010 started, but they have since rattled off victories in nine of ten straight games and have improved to 20-9 and 11-6 in the Big East. Put together a solid win or two in the Big East tournament, and you should be looking at a tourney birth for sure.
Credit the Golden Eagles for really coming to play on the night they call "Al's Night". Darius Johnson-Odom was the star of this one, scoring 22 points and bringing home seven rebounds. Maurice Acker played a key role as well adding 15 points. Great win for MU on national television (if you call ESPNU national television, that is), and hopefully they can keep it up this weekend against Notre Dame. It won't be easy, as the Irish are desperately fighting to keep their tournament hopes alive as well.
