Well, that might be stretching it, but Jennings will be showing off his acting chops in an episode of Criminal Minds tonight, airtime 8:00pm (Central) on CBS. Jennings is cast as an EMT that arrives to the scene of a dead body, and has a few lines. So how did this happen? As explained by WMUBroncos.com:
He received the opportunity due to a chance meeting between executive producer Ed Bernero and Jennings' parents, Greg and Gwendolyn, during a Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears game at Lambeau Field. The Jennings and Bernero, a huge Bears fan, got to talking and at the end of the game he told Greg's parents that he ever wanted to be on the show to let him know. He does and he will be this week.
Pretty awesome stuff, if you ask me. It's not rare to see athletes get the acting bug, and I wonder if this something that Greg Jennings is going to want to pursue after his career. Of course, every character he plays will have to have a backstory written in about why he's wearing three Super Bowl rings on his hand, but I digress. Hopefully though, it will be better than this monstrosity:
Wait, Jeff Suppan is going to throw in a personal trainer? Sign me up! (In case you haven't noticed, I'm throwing Jeff Suppan under the bus in every post I write today).
