With a 95-74 defeat in game 7, this Bucks season has officially come to an end. But what a great ride the Bucks had. Lets review. Milwaukee got Brandon Jennings with the 10th pick in the draft. Michael Redd got hurt in the second game of the season, and only played 18 total games. John Hammond made some huge moves at the trade deadline to make this a scary team. Andrew Bogut was had an all-star like season, and went down with the most painful injury of all time. Milwaukee made the playoffs as the 6th seed in the East, and was projected to be swept or beat in five games. Instead they took a 3-2 series lead into game 6 at home, but failed to win one of the final two games. It one of those things where you say wow did they really blow it, but really this team shouldn't have been in this spot in the first place. This team hasn't been in these pressure situations at all, and the Hawks took advantage of that. The way the Bucks played this series, I see the Magic just crushing the Hawks.

Another thing that was huge this season was the section at the Bradley Center called Squad 6. It was a group of fans that would wear crazy stuff to games, stand the whole game, and be very loud to be the Bucks 6th man. Every game I went to this year I was very satisfied with how Squad 6 cheered for the Bucks. Andrew Bogut bought out this section of the stadium and gave tickets to the fans that would work hard during games. It may not be a favorite of other teams in the league, but I really thought it was a good idea. Great job this season by Squad 6, and I can't wait to see what they come up with for next year.
The 2010-11 Bucks team was the most team oriented team Milwaukee has had in awhile. These guys just seemed to know that they needed to work together to win games. If there was one thing this Bucks team lacked this year it was a guy that could go out and score 30 points in a game. It was about balance and heart this season, and this team had a lot of both. Projected to take last in the East this season they did much better than that. Winning 46 games and finishing second in the Central was proof that this team was a surprise of the year. The slogan for the Bucks was Work Hard, Play Hard, and they did just that in 2010.
That being said, Game 7 against the Hawks was maybe the worst game they played all season, but I think we should forget about this one. We need to go into this off season aggressive, and hopefully snag a good draft pick. Not sure what is going to happen with John Salmons, but if he doesn't return to the Bucks, maybe, just maybe they could get a free agent. I do know for sure that Brandon Jennings and Andrew Bogut will be back next season looking to shock teams again. I sure hope we can lock up this young core for awhile to make this a good team for years to come. Also hope that this coaching staff stays around for awhile, because they did a hell of job this year too. All good things must come to end, but I really wished this one would have held off for awhile.
Bucks post will not die however as Winks will do his Bucks Survivor which should be up on Tuesday morning. Hope some people became Bucks fans after this season, and I really hope these Bucks recaps didn't lose any fans. Either way it was one hell of a ride for the Bucks, and now I must go shave my playoff beard off.
