Lemmy and Bucky Pick the Bowls: January 10th

Tostitos BCS National Championship Game - #2 Oregon (12-0) vs. #1 Auburn (13-0) - 8:30pm ET - ESPN

Winks: I'm with Tirico and the game, finally this shit is coming to an end. At least it's going to go out with a bang, as the two most exciting offenses of the year come head-to-head in a winner take all battle (well, except for the fact that TCU is still undefeated, but nobody cares about that). Basically, the more that we've done these picks the more that I'm realizing I'm getting tired of college football. The debate about the playoff system is wearing thin, and more of the news about the sport focuses on the eligibility issues regarding the players and the futures of the coaches more than it does the actual gameplay. At least for sixty minutes tonight (plus three hours of commercials) we'll be able to focus on football. After watching Auburn come back from an impossible deficit against Alabama, I'm almost convinced that this team can't lose. But I think this is Oregon's lucky night, if for no other reason than I just want this shit to be over with already.

Lemmy: Boy the bowl season sure flew by. Didn't drag on at all. Nope. But finally, we have a game worth watching, and it could just make up for the other 30-something bowls that did little else but completely suck (and make us some money with our 8-1 Free NCAA Football Picks record). In the national championship game, we like Auburn to edge Oregon for the title. Cam Newton will live up to his Heisman billing as the Tigers complete the final win of what is sure to be a someday vacated season.
