Lemmy and Bucky Pick the Bowls: January 3rd

Discover Orange Bowl - #4 Stanford (11-1) vs. #13 Virginia Tech (11-2) - 8:30pm ET - ESPN

Winks: Wait, this shit is still going on? I thought that after TCU beat the Badgers for the national championship that the bowl season was over? Wait, Wisconsin wasn't in the title game even they were the hottest team in college football? What, TCU isn't the national champions even though they are undefeated? Brain, exploding. We have a whole 'nother week of college football to be played, some of these intriguing some of them not so much. In tonight's matchup, you have a team as hot as the Badgers were, maybe even hotter. Virginia Tech has won eleven straight game after losing early contests to Boise State and (gulp) James Madison. But I think Stanford, with their lone loss coming to Oregon, is the better team. I usually shit all over the Pac-10, but Stanford will serve them proud tonight.

Lemmy: Sometimes in gambling, we rely on luck more than anything. On Monday night, we'll need even more Luck. PUN ALERT! Andrew Luck will be the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, and he'll show why against Virginia Tech in the Orange Bowl. Though we're still disappointed that there is an Orange Bowl and not a Lemon Bowl, we always embrace our fellow citrus and expect a fairly decent game. Still, decent game or not, we like Stanford straight up and even like them against the spread at -3 1/2, making them a Free NCAA Football Pick. Which, oh by the way, are hitting 83% this bowl season. SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT!
