What the Hell, Jeff Suppan?

Okay, what the hell Jeff? Now I know that it's only Spring Training and when the regular season comes he'll probably suck again, but for now Jeff Suppan is on a crusade against the Milwaukee Brewers. In the Giants 7-2 win against Milwaukee on Friday, Suppan pitched three innings giving up just one hit and zero runs. That's in addition to his performance against the Brewers on the first day of Spring Training, when he also pitched three innings with a clean score sheet. In two games against Milwaukee this preseason, Jeff Suppan has a line of 6 IP, 1 H, 0 BB, 2 K, and a 0.00 ERA. Spring Training or not, that kind of pisses me off.

But again, thankfully this part of the schedule doesn't matter. Suppan usually starts out aces when he arrives with his new squad anyway, so his crash back down to earth will happen eventually. I personally wouldn't mind seeing him become an early Spring hero in San Francisco, only to see him crumble when the Giants come to Miller Park in the final week of May.

As for Suppan's former club, our beloved Brewers, this loss to the Giants was only their second of Spring Training. In fact, the Giants are the only team to have beat Milwaukee in 2011. The Brewers are 4-2 this Spring, which also included a win on Thursday against the Oakland A's by a score of 11-9.

The Crew will be looking to get another win today, when they face Ron Roenicke's former team in the Los Angeles Angels.
