Mench to Become the Newest Mr. Baseball

Domo Oregato, Mr. Shreko! I don't have much to say on the topic, just wanted to let you know that Kevin Mench is about to sign with the Hanshin Tigers of Japan. It'll be a one year deal with $2 million, which is a lot more than he would have made back here in the states.

The Hanshin Tigers are described as the Japanese version of the Red Sox, so already I don't like them. They took 2nd in the Central League last year, losing in the 1st stage of the Climax Series Central, whatever that means.

Mench will join former Pittsburgh Pirate Ryan Vogelsong and former Minnesota Twin Lew Ford. Hopefully they can let him in on the culture of Japanese baseball...
