Welcome to Milwaukee, Jorge Julio

It didn't take long for the Brewers to make a splash into the 08-09 free agent pool, as the Brewers have announced the signing of Jorge Julio. Actually, they've signed a few people over the last couple of weeks, but this is the first guy that has actually had somewhat of an impact in the majors. Even if it hasn't all been positive.

It will be a one-year deal for the former closer of the Baltimore Orioles, who has struggled lately do to command problems. But rather than just plagiarize an article by Tom Haudricourt and pass it off as my own, I'm going to send you to his site for more information about how Julio hasn't had the best major league career.

Let's hope this signing is more Dan Kolb and less Eric Gagne.

Dude, this guy really blows.

At least the price is not Eric Gagne, and Julio can be a cheap, effective middle reliver. Worst case they cut him and only lose 900k.

I like how his name really emphasizes the using a J to make an H sound.
