Milwaukee had plenty of chances against the Reds on Friday night, but ultimately they gave this one away. The Brewers had three errors in the contest, as well as a wild pitch from Salomon Torres that brought home the winning run for Cincinnati. On a night in which the Cubs and Cardinals both won, the Brewers lost the game 6-5.Manny Parra didn't have a terrible outing, going 6 1/3 innings, allowing 3 earned. The Brewers scored 4 in the 6th, only to be answered with 3 from the Reds in the 7th. The wild pitch scored the run in the 8th, and the Brewers were unable to score any runs after that.
Ryan Braun, preparing for Monday's Home Run Derby, hit his 23rd home run of the season.
