First off, Marquette predictably slipped in the polls after their loss to South Florida on Friday, although not too far. It's good to see the voters of the Associated Press poll recognize the work MU has done so far, as they only slipped two spots to number ten. The ESPN/USA Today poll wasn't so kind, as they dropped Marquette to number 12.
Elsewhere, it's going to be a long time before the Badgers climb back into the top echelon of men's college basketball. The Badgers are on the right track, however, as they have finally won back-to-back games again, thanks to a 54-44 victory over Penn State on Sunday. Still, the Badgers are going to have to do a lot of damage in the postseason if they want to see the rankings again this year.
There is some other good news though for the state, as UW-Green Bay received a vote in the Associated Press poll. The vote is well-deserved as they knocked off #11 Butler and UW-Milwaukee to cap off one of their best weeks in school history. So technically, they are tied at number 43 in the rankings, which is something. Hopefully they can make a little run and get closer to the top 25.
