Bush To Start Game Three

He's not the greatest pitcher in the world, but I will take a Dave Bush start over a Jeff Suppan one any day of the week. Especially if that day happens to be Game Three of the NLDS.

Sveum must have zero confidence in Soup at this point, and I don't blame him. You just never know what you're going to get out of Suppan, even though he's supposed to be the best "big-game" pitcher on this staff. Clearly, he's not, as he faltered down the stretch run this season.

Suppan now appears to be the likely starter for game four, unless Sveum throws someone like McClung, or even Parra, out there. Perhaps will see Gallardo on short rest. Maybe even Sabathia on two days rest (half-joking).

On a side note, I don't think there is anyone that looks more like two completely different people when they shave than Dave Bush.

Here's the lineup for tonight, Game Two against Brett Myers and the Phillies.

CF Mike Cameron
2B Ray Durham
LF Ryan Braun
1B Prince Fielder
SS JJ Hardy
RF Corey Hart
3B Craig Counsell
C Jason Kendall
P CC Sabathia

Update: b2 pointed out that I had "Bust" to start Game Three, ah.... Freudian slip.

Did you mean for the headline to say BUST? Is this a typo or lack of confidence in bushy?
