Badgers Now in Top Ten

A 51-14 victory over Marshall was good enough to bump the Badgers into the top ten in both the USA Today and Associated Press rankings. The Badgers are now the 10th best team in all the land, moving up from number 11 a week ago.

USC remains the number one team in the country, followed by Georgia, Oklahoma, Florida, and Ohio State. The Big Ten is represented by Penn State (#17 AP, #17 USA Today) and Illinois (#24 AP, unranked USA Today).

The story of the week for the polls though is the entry of East Carolina for the first time in 9 years. In the past two weeks, they've beat ranked opponents in Virginia Tech and West Virginia. They are #14 in the AP Poll, and #20 in the USA Today version.

You can view both polls here.
