Badgers Survive Against Penn State

At one point in the second half the Badgers looked like they were about to blow past Penn State, but the Nittany Lions weren't going to accept defeat so easily. Penn State stormed back and took the lead late in the 2nd half, but the Badgers were able to send the home crowd home happy with a 65-61 victory.

In my last post about the Badgers, I talked about how someone on this team needs to step up and be a difference maker. Today, that was Marcus Landry as he ended the game with 23 points and 5 boards. Joe Krabbenhoft also shined for Bucky, pulling down 10 boards and knocking in 10 points.

The Badgers were 9 1/2 point favorites in this game, which I only know because my gambling addiction is acting up again. And while they are not projected to do that well this season, Penn State has been playing well so far and certainly gave the Badgers a good test. Regardless, a conference victory is always a good victory, and the Badgers improve to 2-0 in the Big Ten.
