I'm Ready For Opening Day

The Phillies and the Braves may be kicking things off tonight (but I'll be watching Wrestlemania... ahem), although as a Brewers fan it'll be hard to believe the MLB 2009 season is actually underway until Tuesday afternoon. Six months after the Brewers were knocked out of the playoffs, they will take the field again. This time, against the San Francisco Giants. If you're like me, it can't come soon enough.

But before that could take place, the Brewers had a few roster moves to make. The four guys I was really pulling for to make the team this season - Todd Coffey, Brad Nelson, Chris Duffy, and Casey McGehee - all made it, and you can see the entire roster here. For shizz and giggs, here's the Nashville Sounds roster as well.

The Brewers also had a couple of games in Los Angeles to wrap up as well, first beating the Dodgers 7-2 on Friday, and then beating them again 7-4 on Saturday. Yovani Gallardo and Brad Nelson get our Player of the Games, respectively. With that, here are the final Player of the Game standings for the Brewers and their 2009 Spring Training:

5 - Casey McGehee, Brad Nelson

4 - Corey Hart, Jeff Suppan

3 - J.J. Hardy, Prince Fielder, Yovani Gallardo

2 - Lorenzo Cain

1 - Scott Thorman, Ryan Braun, Dave Bush, Lorenzo Cain, Manny Parra, Carlos Corporan, Rickie Weeks, Steffan Wilson

Two more days until first pitch!
