Fresno State Rejects Lambeau Offer

Do you realize that come next September 13th, we could have been able to buy a ticket to watch a football game at Lambeau Field, only it wouldn't have been the Packers? The Wisconsin Badgers offered Fresno State $1 million dollars to move their non-conference game that day from Fresno to Green Bay, but the university declined. It's long been speculated the Badgers would like to play a game at Lambeau, and we think Fresno really screwed the pooch on this one.

First off, remember the Badgers hockey game that was played there a few years back? That wasn't just a game, that was an event. It was a little more unique because it was a hockey game in a football stadium, but this would have been just as awesome, for lack of a better word.

Can you imagine the press coverage this game would have received? The tickets would have been tough to get, I'm sure, and it would have received a lot more attention than the Fresno State / Wisconsin game usually does. You'd have to think it'd attract some recruits for not just the Badgers, but also Fresno State.

So instead of making the trip to Lambeau this fall to watch the Badgers, we'll probably be making the trip to our corner pub to watch the game on the Big Ten Network.
