Bulls Steal the One Pick

Tonight's a good night if you're Chicago Bulls Executive Vice President, Business Operations Steve Schanwald. I honestly never expected a picture of Steve Schanwald to make it to my blog, but here you go. He's up there because he was the good luck charm for the Bulls tonight, as they moved all the way up from ninth spot to earn the number one pick, even with odds of just 1.7% percent. If there are any Michael Beasley or Derrick Rose fans out there, we're going to be seeing a lot more of one of them next year.

As for the Bucks, they'll be picking in the number 8 position, which is Michael Westbrook / Eric Gordon / Kevin Love territory. We predicted a while ago the Bucks might take Gordon because of the Sampson hire, and that could very well be the case. Chad Ford at ESPN.com thinks the Bucks will land Gordon, which would allow Hammond to get rid of Redd. We'd be on board with that.
