Good story here about that bat. The bat used in the walk off was later auctioned to raise money for breast cancer research, Brewers owner Mark Attanasio won the bid. Attanasio then gave it to Hall's mother. The final bid on the bat was over $25,000, the third-highest total ever paid for an auction item on mlb.com (Hey Winks... that paragraph looks eerily similiar to the one on Wikipedia. Interesting.)
Today will also be a day in which pink merchandise will be a hot seller. Not just pink bats, but pink jerseys, pink hats, and pink t-shirts. Now, in most cases, these items will be worn by women, and the occasional frat boy. As cute as we think girls look in pink Brewer jerseys, we actually think they are hotter when they wear the real thing (and even though we don't really care for the Twins, there is nothing hotter than a girl in a Joe Mauer jersey shirt. I don't know why, it's just really, really, sexy.)
And oh yeah, Happy Mother's Day!

On a related note, the Milwaukee Brewers have agreed to let my mother close out today's game if needed. Because not only could she do a better job than Gagne, but she'd also make brownies for everyone in the clubhouse.
pink bat is synonomous with bill hall, not anonymous
