Brewers 8, Royals 3

Perhaps Manny Parra and Dave Bush are loyal readers of The Bucky Channel. Clearly, they're not, but they performed quite well today after I wrote that they wouldn't wind up in the starting rotation. Parra threw seven strikeouts in five innings, giving up just one unearned run today as the Brewers beat the Royals 8-3. His ERA for Spring Training is now down to 0.64. That's incredible, even if he's not always up against big league competition. As I said before, it's likely he'll be up while Gallardo is injured, and if he pitches well I'm not sure if the Brewers will be able to send him back down.

Dave Bush pitched four innings in relief, fanning 5 and giving up two earned runs. His ERA for the spring season is 8.31, and I still think he'll be our long relief man.

Bush in for Parra was the only substitution of the game, as the lineup went all nine innings. Corey Hart and J.J. Hardy each hit their first home runs of Spring Training, and each had four RBI's. Craig Counsell had three hits on the day.

The Brewers are 12-6 in Spring Training, and will face the Mariners tomorrow afternoon. The game will be broadcast on FSN Wisconsin, so if you missed the game on Friday you can see the Brewers in action tomorrow. The Bucky Channel will be watching the game, and giving our thoughts after each inning. It's not quite a live blog, but feel free to leave comments and watch the game with us tomorrow.
