The Crew Fall to the Mariners 5-2

The Brewers dropped another game today in Cactus League action, losing to the Seattle Mariners 5-2. The loss brings the Brewers spring training record to 4-4.

Zach Jackson took the loss today giving up three hits in three innings of work. Jackson gave up three unearned runs courtesy of a Rickie Weeks error. Ben Sheets started the game and threw three innings, allowing 0 runs on two hits, while striking out three. Ryan Braun(2) and Rickie Weeks(1) hit solo home runs, both off of young Seattle stud pitcher Felix Hernandez. Mitch Stetter gave up a two run homer in two innings of work.

Other things of note: Pitchers Eric Gagne and Derrick Turnbow each pitched a scoreless inning. The Brewers only two hits of the game came from home runs hit by Braun and Weeks.

The Brewers will play the Texas Rangers tomorrow at 2:05 pm.
