Brewers 9, Rangers 8

We all know the trend that they Brewers are following in Spring Training, correct? The starting pitchers implode, and our offense puts up big numbers. Well, that's what happened again today as the Brewers managed to come from behind and beat the Rangers 9-8. This, after Chris Capuano gave up six runs in the third inning, included a Grand Slam to Josh Hamilton. Rough estimate is that our starting pitchers are giving up an average of 3 runs in 3 innings of work, which amouts to an ERA of 9.00. Brewers are going no where if we have an ERA of 9.00. But, it is Spring Training, so no need to panic just yet.

Let's talk about the offense a little more, shall we? Ryan Braun hit his 3rd home run of the spring season with a 3 run shot in the 5th. Jason Kendall went 2 for 3 with an RBI, and Vinny Rottino hit a 2-run RBI single to give the Brewers the lead in the 8th.

Jeff Suppan is on the hill against the Royals tomorrow.
