Badgers Alone Atop the Big Ten

With tonight's Purdue Boilermaker loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Badger basketball team is the solo team at the top of the Big Ten standings. Before tonight's game both Purdue and Wisconsin stood at 14-2 in Big Ten play, with Indiana a close second at 13-3. If both teams would have maintained their positions at the top of the Big Ten, they would split the title, but Purdue would be the number one seed in the Big Ten Tournament due to being 2-0 head-to-head over the Badgers.

Thanks in part to a Buckeye team the Badgers beat over a week ago, Bucky controls its own destiny in winning the Big Ten crown outright as well as the one seed in the BT Tourney. The top of the conference currently has:

1) Wisconsin 14-2(24-4)
2) Purdue 14-3(23-7)
3) Indiana 13-3(24-5)

Upcoming Schedule:
Wisconsin - Penn St. 3/5; @Northwestern 3/8
Purdue - @Michigan 3/9
Indiana - Minnesota 3/5; @Penn St. 3/9
